Periodically you have to take a good hard look at your quirks, right? Evaluate them for stupidity, et cetera.
One of my quirks is that I love to collect metrocards from places. Not tickets, cartes, or billets, but actual credit-card-type metro passes. I'll totally pay more for them, even. (the rules are that I have to stay in a place more than one night though, no buying rail-passes at the airport on a layover or getting a card for a one-day stay) I'm looking forward to getting a Montreal Opus card to go in my collection.
Coincidentally, this often pairs with my habit of planning my layovers by which airports I haven't connected in yet. I need to make a list though, because I'm starting to forget which I've done and which not, leading to my indecision whether to stop through Minneapolis or Detroit this time. Pretty sure I've done Detroit though. (Petey, can you advise on the relative level of interest in MSP?)
Have I mentioned how stoked I am to be going back to Montreal? I didn't get a metro pass last year, so I must rectify that. It's not about seeing like 30 bands, it's about the rail-pass :)
