Something I miss about the South:
You could not throw a rock (from the roof of a waffle house for extra points) and not hit a hair/beauty/nail supply store. Even living in Sav'h I knew five places I could get big poofs of plastic hair in lots of colors, and I imagine other places were just as well funded or moreso.
And now, when I need to start stocking up fake hair for new hairpieces (only in auburn and black this time, so the parameters are lesser, even) I actually have to read reviews of hair places? Am I going to have to drive like into the east bay for this? (I don't mind or anything, just.. wow. It's been a while.)
I'm on vampire time again (shocker!) so these things become important when I'm too awake to sleep and the gym doesn't open until 5. :)
