I know it's been a long time since I posted but I had to rant about this.
Today was my store manager’s birthday. as I read the notes to him about him getting old I have to shake my head. last week I turned 22, I was very excited. another year to celeb rate getting older. growing older is exciting to me, enjoying life as best I can. However, everyone arounf me was telling me that I shouldn’t be happy. "it’s all down hill from 21" they kept saying. I don’t understand this. why is it that I get chastised for enjoying getting older. I think my friend is right, youth is wasted on the young. to many of my friends say they are getting old. I mean the oldest of my friends, is what maybe 25. not even 2/3 of the way through their life. I am about 1/4 of the way through my life, if that. I feel people should leave my alone about enjoying growth, enjoy being young, appriate the fact that you are young, leave the old to the old. and please people, you have no right to call anyone under 90 old. even then respect them by not calling them so.
