So disk one of the new album is finally up on vitas.com.ru. I think the cover design is kinda fugly, but at least it's out.

The site also mentions an online chat with Mr. Pudovkin (Vitas' producer/manager) on December 27th at www.km.ru. It seems likely that it will be in Russian and I haven't figured out yet ( Read more... )

You know what the cover reminds me of? Those 1960's crooners. Are they trying to appeal to the older generation? XD

It looks like a K-TEL production. You know those albums they used to sell at 4 am "Romantic Sounds of the Seventies"...

Dear fans of Vitas! Does the CD cover is really so important to you? Listen the beautiful songs and don't puzzle over the technical details of the cover. :) Its drawbacks are not the guilt of Vitas. This is the result of the financial economy of his producer. :)
By the way, the new CD is just the first part of the album "Return Home". The second will be released in spring, by the Premiere.

Well, sure *we* know it's beautiful on the inside-but there's a reason the expression "judging a book by it's cover" exists.

Plus, as evangelical Vitas fans we know we will eventually be trying to explain to a skeptical friend that we aren't trying to foist some Russian Barry Manilow on them.

Also, we're shallow ;D
