So yeah.. things didn't turn out quite how i expected.
Ya see i took the whole weekend off to be able to spend as much time at the con as possible.
Then i find out it's been moved to Sat through Monday instead of Friday through Sunday.
ok.
i can deal.
I spent Friday hanging out with friends and being a geek.
Good times.
Saterday was awesome. Went to the con, Met SAM LOGAN of Sam and Fuzzy fame. Nice guy.
Convinced him to sell Hojo, Denny, Winnie and myself some stuff he was working on. Went to a REAL sword dueling session. that was snazzy. Duello Sword fighting school. They teach everything from the Rapier and longsword to Halberds and knife fighting.
the geek in me creamed.
Watched the AMV video contest.
that was hilarious, though less comedy bits than last year.. which made me sad.
puttered around. Saw some people i knew (Hey AL and ERWIN.) managed to save my money since i didn't see ANYTHING to buy there. Met a cool Cat from Seattle Dressed up as Zack from FFVII. Chatted since the line was about two friggin hours. nice guy.
then Denny and Winnie Dropped the proverbial BOMB on Hojo and myself.
They were NOT comming back the rest of the weekend.
WTF??
so i realised i too was not able to attend the rest of the Con.
SHIT FUCK.
oh wells. life goes on.
Puttered around some more. ate food.
then went to the ZZ concert.
oh mans that was awesome. i havn't been to a concert that charged since Godsmack.
It was AWESOME.
EVERYONE was out of their seats jumping and dancing. it was really amazing.
Was one of the first 10 people in to see the band afterwords. Got some CD's Signed.
The keyboardist gal took a keen liking to my name (i had told them it was Bean) and they all were crazy nice and "OH HI BEAN. WHO IS YOUR FAVORTE JAPANESE PERSON" in terrible broken English. hehehe.
of course being lame i pointed at the gal.
got a picture taken.
good times.
then it was off home.
Alas i didn't see Ragga there.
