Apparently, Count D from Pet Shop of Horrors isn't the only fandom whore in my brain. xxxHolic seems to love crossing over with Death Note too. Three xxxHolic/Death Note stories exploded in my brain last night, and finally one (my favorite) is done.

I can't believe I wrote something half-way sympathetic about Misa. I detest her. I pity her, yes, ( Read more... )

Oh god. See, since xxxHolic is linked (very closely) with Tsubasa, which is all about traveling between worlds and such to the point it's honestly a giant cross over series, Crossovers with this series just works. It's already cannon.

And yeah, that worked really well. Gold Star for you.

(Oh god Yuuko would be a Bene Gesserit).

Have you read anything else by CLAMP? X decided to move into my head again a couple nights ago after an absence of almost three years and I'm not too sure I'm pleased by this.

That's true. I haven't read Tsubasa, so it's kind of just random people appearing all the time...my crossover tendency began with Pet Shop of Horrors, which xxxHolic reminds me a LOT of, except even more...of itself. THAT made sense. Whatever ( ... )

Yeah, Tsubasa and xxxHolic are very closely linked, and it's good to read them together, but I know at least at the end of Tsubasa it gets tied really closely with xxxHolic (though I have yet to read the end and that's one of my goals over the summer ( ... )

Mm. I'm heard a little about Tsubasa, but I can't summon much interest. xxxHolic attracts my attention much more. (Maybe it's just because I'm lazy, and the thought of gorgeous people lolling about a shop is so much more attractive than the thought of people going off on epic quests. The latter makes me feel tired. *laughs*)

*blushes* Very high praise. Thanks!

(Mwahahaha.)

Mm. Well, it's probably a good thing that they haven't ended the world yet. *impish grin* With CLAMP, you never know what effect that might have...

Well, Tsubasa isn't all that epic. It's more like... I don't know. It only gets really epic/confusing as *hell* later. I don't know, it's pretty entertaining. Actually, a series I think you might enjoy is Legal Drug (which is not as bad as the name makes it sound) which actually crosses over with xxxHolic rather often. They're pretty similar series in a lot of ways too. It's only 3 volumes (Actually, you meet the two main characters in the first volume of xxxHolic... they just show up at one point).

XD

Well, we know they don't end the world because Yuuko references the characters of X every once and a while, which then makes it seem like the world holds on through 1999. >.>

THIS. Read this: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4006556/1/Misunderstood. This is my favorite xxxHolic fanfic I've found, ever. The beginning is a little slow, but read it through to the end, because the ending (where Doumeki makes an appearance) is PRICELESS. :D

Meh. *shrugs* I looked at a couple of chapters of Legal Drug, but the characters acted too much like a proto-Watanuki and Doumeki, except with less character development, so I think I'll pass. xxxHolic has been annoying me lately, though; I'm on the medium girl arc, and it started off well but now seems to be acting like a shojo manga going on about how important friends are to each other. >.> C'mon, xxxHolic is supposed to do better than that...

:D?

"We get along so well, don't we, Watanuki-kun?"

"Sure, Yuuko-san," said Watanuki-san tonelessly. "You drive me to insanity and I force you into sobriety. How's that for teamwork?"

*Crackles*

That was pretty amazing yes.

Oh, it's been so long since I read xxxholic. >.> I should reread that too over the summer (after I get through Tsubasa). Ah, I like Legal Drug more than that, but they are similar characters. And yeah, every once and a while CLAMP will take a break from all the destiny and angst and throw in some shojo manga. Then they get over it.

Hahaha, that was a great part. My favorite was:

'"You're Watanuki-san's…partner," she said.

"Yes," Doumeki-san said.

"Yes," Ichihara-san said.

"No!" Watanuki-san yelled.

"Excuse me," Kazusa said. "I'm going to go be very drunk now and try not to think about you and Watanuki-san engaged in lewd and probably illegal acts."

He blinked. "Okay. Let me know if that works."'

Mwahaha. It was so IC for all three of them. <3

Mmm. I'm sure Legal Drug *is* better than that; it's just with manga, it has to grab me from the very beginning or I drop it. I have been known to watch as many as 11 episodes of anime before deciding if I like and want to finish a series, but manga has a much shorter trial period. Maybe it's just because I'm not used to illustrated formats. (Never read any comic books when I was a kid. Oh, except a few Asterix in French, because French class was really boring otherwise. But besides that, Full Metal Alchemist was my first manga OR comic.)
