I don't like to brag (laughing at my own stupidity is my default setting, and the opportunities to do so are far more frequent than chances to be smug about anything [understatement of the year]), but today, I can't help it. :)
This morning, I found a grammatical error in one of my Latin professor's translation exercises. (A Latin error, not an English error.) My professor was completely amazed; he's been teaching that particular page of exercises (which he wrote himself) for four years, and neither he nor any of his students have ever noticed. He volunteered to "write an A+ letter of recommendation" for me.
Given that he's kind of a big deal in the field of linguistics, I'm pretty pleased with myself right now.
