*sigh*
*groans* I'm going to spend the rest of my life studying archaic languages, aren't I? Latin, Scottish Gaelic...and now I'm dying to learn Ancient Greek. Nothing remotely useful for a job and/or traveling, of course. Plus I'm fascinated by any influence Latin may have had with Gaelic, since the literature demonstrates that there was interaction between the two, but Gaelic just translated everything instead of adopting Latin. And then there's the whole idea of the Indo-European root language that makes me die of curiosity...
I'm not even a linguistics major. I'm just way too curious for my own good.
