[Reserve] Minato Arisato ▫ 4/?tianzhuFebruary 19 2011, 09:15:21 UTC
Character Background, cont.
Another weakness Minato has is that he has a habit of napping. He had to deal with accomplishing the duties of a high school student with studying and school activities, while during the evenings he had to trek through Tartarus and fight Shadows, only to go to bed and wake up the next morning to attend classes again. He was often exhausted and dozed off during class if he really could not stay awake and sometimes slept in during weekends. He will resist sleeping and push through his tiredness if necessary, but he isn't afraid to just take an occasional catnap somewhere while on a break or "off duty," so to speak.
Abilities/Special Powers:
By the end of his junior year at Gekkoukan High School, Minato has excelled at academics, often scoring at the top of his class on exams. He is capable of speaking his native Japanese and English. He was also a member of Student Council and a member of the school's Kendo team and Photography Club. Time management is not quite a problem for him if he can grab a quick nap during class to give him enough energy to participate in other activities, run errands, or meet with friends. He is in good shape if it comes to a fight, though his mind is geared more toward strategy and instinct than brute force since his stature just does not allow for any feats of great or super human strength.
In the Persona 3 Portable version of the game, Minato can only wield one weapon, the one-handed sword. His hit power is a bit weaker than if he used both of his hands, but having one hand free allows him easier access to his Evoker, which he will later have access to, but not immediately, when he awakens in Wonderland.
An Evoker is a gun-like or gun-shaped device used to summon the Personas that come from the sea of the user's soul. In Minato's case, he has the Wild Card ability, meaning that he has access to more than one Persona, can switch Personas at will, and can summon two Personas at one time to perform one special attack or tactical support move, or what is known as a Fusion Spell or Fusion Raid. Each Persona has unique abilities, stats, and strengths or weaknesses. The physical attacks range from slash, strike, or pierce type moves, while the magic attacks are elemental, from fire, ice, wind, electric, light, dark, and almighty. Minato does have access to the entire Persona Compendium of approximately 170 Personas, but in Wonderland, there does not seem to be a great need to summon a great amount of them or any of them at all. If necessary, he will rely on Messiah, his ultimate Persona, and Orpheus Telos, a special, modified, upgraded version of his initial Persona Orpheus.
