Maria has the good sense (for once in her life) to phone ahead and check with Caroline to see whether Aloysius is going to be 'at lunch' or at least conveniently alone in his office at some point this afternoon. Neither of them decide to warn him, but Maria does promise to bring him something of her own making! Surely that's better than whatever

The door is not locked; Aloysius has his jacket off and his sleeves rolled up some, at his desk taking a 'break'. A 'break', in this case, actually meaning that he's going through assorted things requiring his signature or the denial of his signature while he sifts through the crap people are trying to push across his desk.
It's moderately less hard-working than other things he could be doing, ergo it absolutely counts as a break. He glances up when the door opens, and is...not as surprised as he could be to see Maria. "Hello, there."

Maria grins at him, and saunters forward to kiss him hello...without bothering to close the door behind her, by the way. By this point, she assumes almost everyone knows Aloysius has a crazy ho girlfriend, okay, but this is just ensuring it. Yes. She sets the tin on the desk as she goes. "Hi, stranger."

Even Aloysius can't actually object to being greeted that way, and he threads his fingers through her hair briefly. "You didn't tell me you were coming." And neither did Caroline, who he does not immediately suspect of being complicit - but he'll learn. Meanwhile, he's getting up to shut the door behind her.

"I thought I'd surprise you," she says, smiling. Since he left his chair so freely available, she immediately takes a seat in it...and props her high heels up on the desk top, looking for all the world like she thinks she owns the place. Mind you, she knows better, but this is part of the game. By the way, at this angle, it's pretty apparent that she isn't wearing much--if anything--beyond underwear underneath the coat. Well, Maria did warn him she'd probably do this once in a while. He might not even mind.
"So. Are you surprised?"

After a moment's consideration, he flicks the lock on the door, too - discreetly, mind you, but she might notice. He fusses absently with the cuffs of his rolled sleeves and gives her a tolerantly amused look that turns a little more pointed when he notices what she is (not) wearing. "I wasn't expecting you."

The crazy girl who has taken over his office lolls around in his desk chair, watching him with that sly look still in place. "Wouldn't you say I tend to be unexpected as a general rule? I can call next time, if you'd prefer that."
She did technically call...but Maria is conspiring with the other women in Aloysius's life, right down to his secretary, apparently.
Reply
Calling his secretary who proceeds to utterly fail to warn him of incoming girlfriend is not, clearly, remotely the same as calling him. Aloysius, all unawares (for now), is not going to make this point.
Poor Aloysius.
"Will you?" At this point, also, he notices the tin. "What's this?"
Reply
"I might! That's lunch--for you, obviously." Now there is a thread of anticipation to watching him, because while Maria is confident in what she makes, this is...bringing her boyfriend a meal at work. It's absurd, but she gets a real kick out of doing it, and she's hoping he doesn't really mind. (She doubts he does.)
Reply
Her anticipation is rewarded with brightening on his part, because...well, he likes good food and does not (usually) object to being fed. "You are a charming and wonderful thing."

Maria drops her feet both to the ground, grinning up at him. She's obviously all kinds of pleased, and unashamed about showing it. "Don't ever forget it."
Absently she wonders just how long he'll let her stay in his chair.
Reply
"I'm sure you won't let me." He's actually coming around now - with the tin - to dislodge her so he can slide in underneath and set her on his lap while he investigates what lunch is.

Maria is at once entertained and rather glad they've both acknowledged that her natural place in the world is apparently on his lap. The meal itself is Fatteh bel Djaje--basically chicken and bread in yogurt sauce--and comes with oranges peeled on the side in segments. "Nope. How long is your lunch break?"
Reply
"No more than an hour." The unspoken implication being 'usually significantly less', but being surprised by that would be odd even if she'd only just met him.
(In fairness, they haven't known each other very long.)
Reply
"I can get a lot done in an hour," she grins at him, sliding her hand up his shoulder, "but you should eat. And tell me how it is."
First, she apparently requires more kissing, all while dragging her fingertips from his shoulder to the side of his neck.

There are probably less professional things than this, but offhand Aloysius can't think of any. This may be a good thing, lest he get ideas. ...more ideas.
The point is: Maria has all of his attention. He'll eat lunch in a minute here.

She giggles faintly into his jawline, shifting closer in his lap. "Do you want to eat, or do you want to kiss me, buddy, make a decision, here."
