I feel so spoiled!
Once we would have paid to check our bags, it wasn't much more expensive to upgrade. So, my mom (without telling me at the time) upgraded us to first-class seats (which has no cost for checking bags.)
So right now I'm sitting in first class ("right now" being when I type this; I'll post it when I get home.) The seats are big, there's lots of leg room, and I can type easily! Normally my arms have to be all scrunched up to type on a plane, or I have to have the laptop at a really odd angle, but this time there's plenty of room!
This is the first time I've ever been in first-class and it's awesome! I have no idea if I'll ever fly in it again, but for now it's nice. It's especially nice because my back and shoulder are hurting for some reason, so the big, soft seat is very welcomed!
There's so much room in the seat that I have have my bag sitting next to me, and I'm not squished to one side or anything!
