I live!
Okay, so I've been in (hot and muggy) Florida for five days now. I'm having a blast!!!
I went with my best friend (Lashley) and her family to Tallahassee to go to a wedding (of someone I’ve never met *lol*) and clean out her great-grandma’s house (the one she lived in since she was nine, until she got a new one built. So no one lives in it now (other then LOADS of dead cockroaches and rats.) Mind you, this house was built in the 1930s I think. And NOT kept in repair. so there's this HUGE hole in the porch and inside as well, which is why we didn't get to go in one side of the house (and the other smelt like bug killer so I stayed out:P)
Basically what we were doing was pulling stuff out, seeing what should be kept or donated and chucking the rest. First day (like 2 1/2 hours) we got rid of 13 bags (the big black 30 gallon ones) of crap. We did more the next day and are nowhere NEAR finishing! They try to go up once a month to work on it.
We found lots of cool stuff though. Like someone's (who has now passed away. Out of the mainly four people's stuff that is in that house, 3 have died) original birth certificate. Folded, aged and taped together inside a roll-a-dex thing (along with a $2 bill.) There's a bunch of furniture built by Lashley's great-great-grandfather, by hand. All sorts of cool stuff. And they showed me a little bit of Tallahassee history as well. it was really fun!
Other things:
- I got bit by a fire ant (I HATE them)
- *Points up* gater helped me with my layout *huggles her*
- I found out (the annoying way...) that Wendy's fries have gluten in them (damn allergies)
- More stuff I’m forgetting
- Haven't gotten much sleep (except last night:D)
