This past week has been enjoyable. After work on Wednesday, I went over to Autumn's to celebrate our one year anniversary. Our celebration consisted of eating Chipotle's and watching Friends. We're boring, but I'm okay with that. Then after work on Thursday, I went to her place again for the weekend, since I had Friday off for the Fourth of July.
On Thursday night, we just hung out at her place doing nothing special. Friday we hung around until Bailee, Ethan and Shaina came over and we set off a few fireworks. Then we went back to my house to get my new digital camera (Kodak C813 that I got from woot.com). We went back to Desert Breeze for the fireworks, but there were none this year, so we went to Santa Fe instead.
We all met up on the roof of the parking garage(horrible mistake) and watched the fireworks. I took a bunch of pictures. I like the camera decently enough. Tristan did not enjoy the noise levels. Once it was over, he screamed a lot, but he had already had a pretty intense day and had been not so happy for hours. The reason why the roof parking was a bad idea was because of the difficulty in leaving. Bailee immediately started her car and drove, but 25 minutes later she had moved less than 100 feet. I didn't even start my car for over 30 minutes. The traffic was moving so slowly that I would rather save the gas than burn it all idling in a line of cars. Once I did start my car, I got out pretty fast, cause by that time most of the worst of it was over. The only slowdown was caused by an accident near the roof ramp.
Next time I find myself in a situation like this, where I know the parking lot will empty at once through a few bottlenecks, I'll park somewhere far away and walk.
After this, I stayed the night at Autumn's again and then left around 1pm on Saturday. I went by my mom's house to mow her lawn (she's out of town for the month). Her lawn mower sucks horribly. It's an electric one with a weak motor, but for some reason, it works when it's going backwards, so I mowed the lawn by pulling the mower around.
Then I went to Whole Food's and got my groceries for the week. Only cost $13 because I had so much left over from last week. Then I drove home, uploaded my pictures to my computer, finished reading A Game of Thrones (excellent novel) and took a nap.
