Now this is interesting.
I came across another exciting video that makes use of the infamous spiral stairway fighting segment in Tom Yum Goong, only this time it utilizes the QTE concept born from one of the more memorable games I've had the privilege of playing a couple of years ago in the now legendary SEGA Dreamcast - Shenmue. For those not familiar with that series, it was an action adventure game by SEGA and legendary game developer Yu Suzuki that put you in the shoes of a young martial artist named Ryo Hazuki in a quest to avenge his father's death, living life a day at a time while exploring, fighting, and conversing with everyone in front of your face. The QTE concept, standing for "Quick Time Event", made players interact with cutscenes and animated sequences by pressing the corresponding button combinations flashing in the screen. Famous games like Resident Evil 4 and God Of War incorporated this system later on, and its been successful at making games more interactive than ever. The clip below begs the question - "What If QTE happened in real life"? Click away and see for yourselves.^^
