The Good, The Bad, and The Tragic...

Feeling the fatigue catching up to me after nonstop activity, work, and meetings for the past few days. In fact, I've been burning the midnight oil and hanging out late thatn usual... one night at the Fort and the other at a friend's place and getting acquainted with new faces. I'm exhausted, but nothing like rest to remedy the situation, but since I'm always on the go, who knows when I'll get that. A couple of updates to note of today though...

- Looking forward to this one when it hits this weekend...

Haha, fun stuff indeed. Hopefully it will be a "Brand New Day" that I can watch and get a kick out of without having to worry about continuity problems or retcons. I'm also surprised to find that Pete Parker himself is voiced by Josh Keaton, known for lending his voice talents as a young Ocelot in MGS3: Snake Eater. That revelation is only adding fuel to my resolve to play the fourth installment coming in a few months time.

- Superhero Hype reports that the Live Action DragonBall movie has been pushed back to April of next year. While I hope this movie does some justice to the franchise somehow, it's too early to say and nothing concrete has been displayed yet. Well, maybe with the delay they can improve things to match the expectations of fans... hopefully.

- Sad news rocked the Role Playing Game community, as Dungeons and Dragons co-creator Gary Gygax passed away last tuesday of heart problems at the age of 69. Credited for being one of the pioneers of tabletop roleplaying games, his contributions in the industry set the standard for many of the entertainment mediums we enjoy today, such as books, movies, and yes, even videogames. I haven't played a DnD board game in ages, but my memories of times playing and enjoying it with others (as well as the subsequent spin-off RPG games that are based on its system, namely Marvel Super Heroes and Robotech) remain one of the most thrilling experiences I had growing up.
