2. Prelude

My first GLAY concert after being a fan like over 9 years~ When I first heard that they'd really come to Taiwan, I was like OMG *faint*~ then I worried if I'd be able to get a ticket since, well, the tickets were only 2000 (1000 people each day) and it was an only-on-location-sale (Taipei, Legacy). My dear friend Olivia told me that last time when Miyavi came over, people even stayed overnight, if not longer. This time I heard, people have been onsite even longer, if it's true. >.< I didn't really want to go alone to Taipei and stay the night there with lots of strangers as well as put our dear MeiMei through all this stuff of either staying up or sleeping outside on the floor...So~ we (MeiMei and me)  went there the morning of the sale day, took the first train from Hsinchu and arrived at the location maybe around 8 am. We entered the park and were surprised to see only a few people walking around but later we found out why: Some staff girls had ordered everybody to move behind some fence which was a bit away from the selling room. First we didn't really realize just how many people were already waiting there but later, as we walked a bit more far into it, we saw the looong line.
In the end we waited for 6 hours and every once a while some staff guys were walking around, telling people what was going on, like 3 or 4 times we were told we might not get a ticket since in front of us there were already 500+ people...>.< But we stayed, stubbornly, haha, and got numbers 881 to 883. Lucky, right~?

3. The Concert

What can I say, it was great~, better than I expected, though I would have loved to be more close~  (>.<)b
Since we all had numbers, they had different lines for us, we were in line 801-900, haha. They also checked the tickets beforehand, so that everybody was in the right order~ well organized, I tell you! Nobody was pushing or anything (also in the concert I was never pushed in any direction (^_^)b).

My dear hubby was very kind and bought us ice cream near the hall~ thank you~<3 (we were both wearing GLAY T-shirts, he a blue one, me a pink one. They luckily arrived just in time. I had ordered them before I even knew GLAY would come to Taiwan, with the renewal of my membership and I thought it was lost or something (since it took like a month or more) but eventually it was delivered (on my birthday <3, thank you, GLAY-fanclub-staff and Tenso-shipping service~).

The entry was also very smooth~we put my bag in the locker but I forgot to take out the towel, noes! >.< Also I didn't take a camera so no pictures from me. All the pictures shared with you are from other people (facebook or also from one blogger) or the media, if I remember where I found them, I will give proper credit.
As we were looking for a good place to stand (the hall was divided in 2 areas, the stage-near-area were for people with the ticket numbers 0-500 and the more-far-away-area for 501-999) and then settled for Takuro's side (right side). :D
Actually I expected people to be less tall in Taiwan, but there were also many guys so it was not easy to see anything unless I stood on my toes(I can still feel my knee bend). >.< Luckily my hubby was with me, so I could use him as support to stay on my toes for longer periods of time. <3 He even one time lifted me up and offered it several other times but I refused, that's not good for his body, especially back. XD Thank you, dear!

We waited for like 30 minutes until 8 pm (official starting time) and GLAY were very punctually~
Above you already saw the set list, so I will just tell you about some highlights or 'special' things that happened. ^^

First of all, the live quality of GLAY is like reeeally good, perfect guitar play, only one minor (maybe)  mistake of tone by Teru XP And as my hubby used to say afterwards, they really gave 100%, gave their all to make the audience/fans happy, to spread their love.
They never went off-stage during the 2 hours-30 minutes-performance except before the encore (which was like 5 mins, if at all), the only rest they had was during Teru's little talking sessions. <3
Always tried to include the audience and interact as much as possible, of course this was mostly done by Teru himself. He did also very much care about the audience's wellbeing, as he asked like 4 or 5 times if everything was okay (in Japanese). Occationally he also tried some Chinese (as "thank you", "I love you" and "sing together").
I have been told by a girl we met in the waiting line, that GLAY are especially kind towards the Taiwanese audience and later I saw what she meant. GLAY knew exactly that Taiwan was among the countries that contributed most for Japan in the time after the horrible earthquake, tsunami and Fukushima incident, and they didn't try to play it down like some politicians did (as far as I heard) BUT were VERY, very thankful from the bottom of their heart. Teru seemed to talk about that like 2-3 times(especially before they performed the "Thank you for your Love" song, which he later in the song altered to "Thank you, TAIWAN!!!" <3 Oh, and when he first started this song, Teru used his accoustic guitar and then after some words stopped, made the audience laugh because everyone thought he forgot the lyrics. XDDD Well, as far as I understood, he explained it that way that he was just too touched (kimochi~) by the kindness of people in general and Taiwanese ppl in specfic, that he had to stop/couldn't go on. The 2nd time he left out the accoustic guitar for the most part and only focused on the lyrics.
Also one could clearly see Takuro's thankfulness as he bowed for such a looong time (I am guessing around 1 minute, not sure though) to the audience at the end of the concert.

Speaking of Takuro, the more we were into the concert, the more he was rocking around~ headbanging and stuff, very cool! <3 As well as Jiro~ he has always had his trademark movements, haha <3 Hisashi was less active but that's okay~ we know why. ;D

Other highlights were of course However, very well sung by Teru, very touching (at least for me). <3 I was close to cry since it is such a nice song!! <3 (T.T) Ah~I miss GLAY!

The 彼女の”Modern…”, SHUTTER SPEEDSのテ-マ and ACID HEAD-part was the one I enjoyed most as it had the most action (jumping, etc.) though there was no pogo or stuff but that's okay. XD As for "Shutter Speeds", it was insane just how much this song makes your pulse go up, lets the rhythm enter your body. It almost seemed like the body moved on it's own~ crazy!
"American Innovation" is also a real fast song and has that swing-the-towel-over-your-head movement, haha. I didn't know about that before but it actually really suits the song. Oh well, next time I will make sure to not forget my towel in the locker. >.<°

The 2nd-day-audience (we) was in one way more lucky than the 1st day one because of 2 things:

1. we got 1 additional song <3
2. they took the picture and made a video only on the 2nd day

Before they took the video, GLAY were like "pshhhh, we want to make a video" (though I really didn't understand anything but the 'pshhh' part, lol but everybody saw the camera so we knew.)

As always, there are songs when GLAY lets sing the audience for some time or parts, this time it were like 3-4 (?) songs, among them was 誘惑 and of course "I'm in Love". I am not sure about the others (I think it might have been "American Innovation" and "生きてく強さ"), eveything went by so fast! @_@
As for "I'm in Love", it was very long, the time when we sung the "I'm just in Love~", guessing at least 10 times, if not more. I always imagined to sing this song with GLAY and now it happened...actually happened, I still can't believe it. <3

In the end, all of the members, like it's tradition already, took themselves by their hands, and made the bow-jump! haha <3 (this was followed by Takuro's super long bow. At that time he was the only one on stage.)

A dream has come true, actually one of my biggest dreams so far, so lucky, so lucky!

After the 1st live in Taipei, Teru mentioned in his facebook, that next time they come here, they want a bigger location because outside there were still so many people who didn't get a ticket.
That'd be great~

Apparently DJ OZMA also met with GLAY or followed them to Taiwan. :O (I saw a picture of Takuro's wife in the newspaper, so she and their little daughter also came along.)
