I tried to do normal mode (I THINK?) for this challenge, inspiration post is located here.
Notes:
1) The Mountains (Joker Game)
Required theme is cold colors. Optional themes are white, monochrome.
As you can see both icons focuses on light blue (or a bit dark in the first one). I used the white optional theme for the first icon and monochrome in the second one.
2) The Tropics (Koutetsujou no Kabaneri)
Required theme is vibrant. Optional themes are scenery, levels.
Both uses the optional scenery theme
3) The Desert (Koutetsujou no Kabaneri)
Required themes are simple and brownish. Optional theme is extreme crop.
In the first icon, I ended up with half-face cropping and the second one is eye focused crop~
4) The Ocean (Diamond no Ace)
Required theme is blue. Optional themes are gradients, motion
Both use the motion optional themes as I tried to picture Sawamura (the subject) motion of pitching.
5) In the City (Bungou Stray Dogs)
Required theme is complexity. Optional themes are muted colors, text.
I personally really like how both icons turn out to be (especially the first one). Both using the muted color optional theme. An additional bonus is I included buildings in the first icon so look it more city-like!
6) In the Country (Bungou Stary Dogs & Joker Game)
Required theme is green. Optional themes are landscape, flowery.
I used the landscape optional theme on both icons. I was kinda having trouble looking for the right caps for the landscape theme LOL
7) In the Past (Joker Game)
Required theme is grunge. Optional themes are muted pastel colors, costumes.
Both went with muted pastel colors (LOL DOES IT COUNT? IDK). Anyway, I was so into using joker game for this theme because the word past suits joker game so much as the series takes place in the 2nd worldwide war~
8) In the Future (Diamond no Ace)
Required theme is geometric. Optional themes are out of the box, numbers.
I went with numbers actually (but it can also count as out of the box?). Anyways, I really like how both icons turns out to be! And the numbers (06 & 02) are basically their position numbers in baseball! XD
9) Over the Sky (Diamond no Ace & Koutetsujou no Kabaneri)
Required themes are visible stock and textures. Optional themes are multiple subjects, more than 2 colors.
I WANNA CRY AT MY FIRST ICON IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL ;___; okay stop.
I guess I went for multiple subjects;; For the first icon, I replace the background with a sky stock photo and adds the light (sun?) texture as the very visible ones. The second one I used forest stock photo and yes I don't even know what is the purpose of the light texture there omg
10) Under the Ground (Bungou Stray Dogs)
Required theme is dark. Optional themes are black&white, obscure
I used all the themes here. Idk, I just love this set of themes so much. I can't say anything else about it orz
