Okay so I no longer have a phone telephone line because VONAGE is crap and I asked for all my money back from them. I have to wait for telus to contact me to set up a phone line through them... a little frustrating but what can you do?
Exciting news: turns out I made the Jessup International Law Moot team; believe me I am just as surprised as all of you who are reading this. My selection round moot was (and I quote one of the judges, because I went and talked to him afterwards) "okay" but apparently everything else that is me (grades, extracuricular stuff and my personality) is what got me from the "maybe" pile to the "yes" pile. I am really excited, I get to go to ottawa for free and I get to actually take part in a moot competition. I am not taking International Law and there is no room in the course for next term, but the judges knew that and they said that I can learn what I need to know on my own.
I didn't make it onto the editorial board of the Alberta Law Review, but the thing is I wouldn't have had time to do both that and the mooting so things worked out fine.
I finally finished all of my Vancouver job applications, so now I have to sit and play the waiting game. Waiting to see who calls me, waiting to see who sends a rejection letter and waiting to see who gives me an interview (hopefully at least a couple will). I missed a really cool ethics lecture today (that is going on right now) by the Manitoba Chief Justice, but I had to finish those applications so well what can you do? I better eat some lunch and then do some Wills reading otherwise I will have done no achademic stuff at all today.
Things are looking much brighter today!
