Poem

Childhood

From sled riding in the backyard

On a hill so small but took you on a ride

Feeling like you were on a rollercoaster

And rainy days in the spring

With the smell of Tulips in the mist

And making mud pies

From having many dolls and cradling them

Like I was their mother

To the many tantrums I would have

When I just wanted to be heard

From swimming in a cool lake

With my brothers and sisters

As we all splash each other

To getting up at dawn and traveling,

To wonderful places and not coming home

Until the late evening

To our contest of who can catch the first fish

When were on vacation

I will always remember my childhood

As a worry free spirit that still lingers

In my soul
