BBC Merlin season 3 - Top 10 favourite scenes
So another season comes to an end ! This one has been sort of an emotional rollercoaster! lol.
It had it`s GREAT as well as bleh moments but here I`ll concentrate on what I liked this season ;)
So here`s my annual top ten list ;)
HONOURABLE MENTIONS
Lancelot/Merlin interactions 03x13 'The Coming of Arthur II'
“You`re the bravest of us all and he doesn`t even know it”
Arthur/Gwen scene 03x06 'The Changeling'
“If I marry her what will you do?”
Arthur & Gwen by the fire 03x07 'The Castle of Fyrien'
Merlin - The Dragon Lord 03x08 'The Eye of the Phoenix'
Excalibur in the stone 03x13 'The Coming of Arthur II'
THE TOP TEN
10. Alice and Gaius`s last meeting 03x09 'Love in the time of dragons'
“Since we parted all those years ago not a day has gone by when I haven`t thought of you”
This episode IMO was the weakest in series 3 but despite that I really liked this scene and came close to shedding a tear!
Nice performances by both actors because this scene really broke my heart :(
9.Gwaine in Camelot 03x04 'Gwaine'
Okay this scene sort of symbolizes the episode and my love for my favourite guest star/character! ;D
It`s a great scene for a number of reasons and I`ll leave those to you to figure out lol
8.Morgause and Cenred 03x01 The Tears of Uther Pendragon I
“To what do I owe this pleasure?”
From the moment I saw this scene actually I`d seen them together in the promo shots first
I knew I was going to enjoy the interactions between these two!
All their scenes were HOT HOT HOT!
Too bad she killed him off! Damn you Morgause!
7.Queen Guinevere 03x10 'Queen of Hearts'
“I now pronounce you Guinevere - Queen of Camelot”
I had read a spoiler before I watched this episode so I knew it was a dream sequence but I still loved how they did it!
Magical and wow!
Can`t wait for this to actually happen in the series! :D
6. Arthur kisses Gwen after she is sentenced 03x10 'Queen of Hearts'
“I will always love you....”
Ahhh this kiss was completely unexpected !
The music , the drama , the angst and Bradley`s awesome
performance made this scene something special and powerful! Very epic fairytale! *sigh*
5.Merlin talks to Gilli 03x11 The Sorcerer’s Shadow
“It`s lonely to be more powerful than any man you know and live like a shadow”
Colin Morgan saved this episode and made it a likeable one!
I really liked how he tried to guide Gilli .
Nice dialog + Colin`s brilliant and emotional performance lifts it!
4. Merlin as the Wizard and Arthur come face to face 03x10 'Queen of Hearts'
“Have we met ?”
I laughed so hard during this scene!
Colin and Bradley`s comic timing and Colin`s dialog delivery are spot on!
It was too funny! xD
3. Merlin stops Morgana from killing Uther 03x05 'The Crystal Cave'
“Get out of my way!”
I loved this scene! This entire episode for that matter had me on the edge of my seat and this scene was perfectly executed!
The atmosphere, music and the awesome conclusion were all amazing!
I just love it when Merlin uses badass magic! *sigh* especially against Morgana coz I kinda ship that
2.The Round Table 03x13 'The Coming of Arthur II'
“Come join me”
I don`t think this one needs any explanation!
From the moment Arthur discovers the table to the minute we see the shot of them all standing around it I was glued!
It was beautiful and touching! *tear*
1.Merlin meets the Fisher King 03x08 The Eye of the Phoenix
“For this is not Arthur`s quest.It is your`s”
This scene was powerful and the epicness was overwhelming!
The music and the fantastic dialog along with Colin`s brilliant acting makes this my favourite scene of the season without a doubt!
I got chills! Wow!
