The Emmy Awards 2011 : My Review
I know this is a week late but hey what the heck.
Now I never really watched the Emmys properly before so I guess this was the first time I actually took interest thanks to Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey!
Also had an awesome time live-tweeting with lolilie , veritas724 , icantstay_away shmyshmy and sarisafari!!!!! :D
THE GOOD :
- I missed the red carpet but thank you youtube for the clips of the Game of Thrones cast on the red carpet!
- Downton sweeping all their categories! Such a wonderful surprise and the best of all of them was Maggie Smith`s well deserved win! :D Too bad there aren`t many images of the cast on the red carpet available .
- ‘Glee’ not winning anything (coz that show is overrated sorry)
- The ‘Let`s freak Bill Macy’ bit was hilarious
- PETER DINKLAGE WINNING FOR ‘GAME OF THRONES’ ! (Easily the best moment of the night!)
- Anna Paquin making an appearance on stage. There was a serious lack of ‘True Blood’ this year.
- Kate Winslet and her always awesome reactions! The woman is amazing and close to an EGOT which was all anyone could talk about ;)
THE BAD :
- WTF was Charlie Sheen doing there and that too presenting an award? Ugh
- Game of Thrones losing the Best Drama award. I mean okay it`s going to be hard out there for a fantasy show but it still hurt a bit.
- Jon Hamm losing for Mad Men.
- Steve Carell will now NEVER win an Emmy for his groundbreaking performance in ‘The Office’! Devastating I tell you !:( (I`m happy for Jim Parsons but gah I wanted Steve to win this so bad!)
- The guys singing the ‘In Memoriam’ song in leather jackets......
- Gwyneth Paltrow`s AWFUL OUTFIT! WORST OF THE NIGHT!

- Downton Abbey s2 is amazing so far! :D
- I need to desperately finish s7 of The Office so that I can start s8!
- The Big Bang Theory started off with two awesome episodes back-to-back.
- I need to watch Modern Family
- I quite enjoyed the last season of True Blood and I don`t understand the hate it`s getting. Fiona Shaw was brilliant!
- Merlin starts this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
- They released a useless s2 promo for Game of Thrones but it was enough to make my day!
