1. Make a list of 5 things that you can see without getting up:
My beautiful rubber tree plant that is growing new leaves. My wall-to-wall bookshelves covered with books, manga, knick-knacks, etc. My collection of pens. Those are mine, do not take them. Seriously, you will get hurt. My husband on his blackberry. My guitar with the two broken E strings. Sad days. I guess that's why I'm doing this instead of jamming.
2. How do you style your hair?
My hair is 19 inches long from scalp to tip, so styling is generally "up". THESE are my favorite long hair pins. They never break and they're perfect for everything. I have dozens, and my husband complains because I leave them everywhere. I also use hair sticks or combs, but the 8s are so easy. I wash it twice a week in the winter and every other day in the summer. I only shampoo the top because the ends are never really dirty, a rinse usually keeps them clean. I take it down when I get home and braid it, because if I sleep with it down I wake up with a wild mane the likes of which you will never see.
3. What are you wearing now?
Pajamas, a robe, socks, slippers. It's cold outside.
4. What's your occupation?
I work at a specialty toy store and I'm in charge of the website. I love toys, real toys, not Fisher Price and some such. I love children, I just don't want children of my own. (Does that make sense?)
In real life, I act. I had a good year last year with two plays, a fair, and a commercial, but this year has started off dry. Currently I'm doing a gig for the local Aids Awareness chapter. I do prefer stage acting. I love physical comedy. I'm also trying to get into the movies filming up here, but that seems like a pipe dream for now. Someday I'll be a member of the SAG and I'll have an IMDB page you can all bookmark.
5. What do you hear right now?
My husband is playing Heavy Rain and he's thinking out loud.
6. Who was the last person you hugged?
squimg, the aforementioned man in my life.
7. What is/was for dinner?
Microwave Shepard's Pie. My kitchen is being remodeled so I'm living on pre-made meals. =/
8. What did you do today?
Work, dentist appointment, rehearsal. Same ol', same ol'.
9. Dog person or cat person?
CATS! ♥♥♥♥ FOREVER!

10. If you had to change your name, what would you change it to?
I probably wouldn't. I love my name. If I had to, I would go by Jayleen because it's a less common nickname for Jacqueline and a play off my pseudonym.
11. What was the last thing that you bought?
A very fancy coffee called a soy hug mocha. Yummy.
12. If you could afford to go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
:3 I travel often actually. It's one of the things the husband and I have in common. Last year we went to the Caribbean, and the year before we went to South America and New Zealand. This year we're going to the midwest to visit family, and NYC later in the year. Next year we're going to Italy. It's never-ending. We also want to go to China, France, Japan, and I would like to see Dubai, since he's been and I haven't, but we wouldn't stay there long.
13. Where do you see yourself in five years?
I couldn't say. Maybe I'll have an MFA by then. But the husband is getting his Masters first since his job depends on it and mine doesn't. I'd also like to have more acting experience by then, and maybe that novel I wrote will be published. Dream big.
14. Where's your birthmark?
My hair. If you look, there's a streak of white blonde hair mixed in with the dark blonde on the right side of the back of my head, somewhere close to the middle. I was told these hair steaks are birthmarks. I didn't know I had a birthmark until I learned that.
15. What are you doing this weekend?
Working at the shop, and doing the gig I mentioned earlier. Then I'm going to the opera because my husband asked me out on a date. We're seeing La bohème.
16. Which book are you reading at the moment?
Possession by A. S. Byatt. It's a heavier read than I expected. =/ It's taking me forever.
17. The last movie you've seen?
I took my husband out to see Tron: Legacy. It was corny, but the soundtrack was neat.
18. What are you doing tomorrow?
Work, rehearsal. Nothing too exciting.
19. New years resolution? What would you like to do better? Or just stop doing.
That might be a little too tl;dr. I would like a diagnosis that's correct, my New Year's resolution was to get one, so we'll see how that goes. And to feel healthier in general, by exercising more, not losing so much weight, better blood pressure, etc.
