You could also have an allergic reaction to them. I say call the doctor... there's usually a nurse advice line available to better assess whether you need to go see a doctor right away.
i don't think it's infected--i looked online, and i'm not showing any signs of a "toxic infection"--i would be having muscle spasms and crazy shit like that. for now, it's just an annoyance...i hope!

they itch longer, they're bigger and sometimes, in the middle of the night when no one can hear you, they make you cry.
but when you have a spat with them and want to scratch your skin off, just ice it. numbness is grand.
and if you can find any of that homeopathic anti-itch cream, it works better than hydrocortizone.
or if you're terribly desperate and poor, and have peppermint foot lotion or any form of pepeprmint balm, use that, it soothes the itchy-ness.
