The place Wesker had chosen for their meeting was empty, run-down, completely abandoned, except maybe for whatever vermin chose to make their home here. There was no one else around for miles at least, which meant that there'd be no interruptions. Just as well, he suspected this might get a tad noisy ( Read more... )

From the moment he said he had wanted to see her, face to face- she knew. Wesker was not one to meet anyone personally unless he had a reason, and usually that reason was never a good one. At least for who he had it planned for. And, knowing Ada, there were several things he'd want to discuss with her, seeing as he wasn't the type to miss anything important. Not in a heartbeat.

Still, regardless, she met him where he had told her to be. Ada knew she was walking towards her death, most likely, but this was the path she had chosen so long ago, and she couldn't turn back now. The spy had done all she could, and now... things would happen as they did. There was nothing more she could do about it.

And so, she stepped forward, knowing that she, as Ada Wong, had done all in her ability to make things go the way that she saw fit. Under the mask of a woman she barely knew, Ada wandered into the warehouse nonchalantly, her eyes adjusting to the change in light, and taking in the place of her future gravesite.

"...You called, Wesker?"

Wesker allowed himself a small smirk which, even if he hadn't had his back turned to her, would have been impossible to see in this dim lighting. Ada would of course know that being summoned here would not bode well for her. Particularly after the little orchestrated video with Vanessa. He'd grown tired of playing games - at least, those played by others.

"Indeed I did. You're right on time, as expected." He was quiet for a moment, letting the silence draw out. He would enjoy this... all those encounters with Vanessa would pale in comparison. The years between himself and Ada would add that extra little something.

He turned finally, leaving the light off for now. "I wonder, do you have any idea as to why I summoned you out here?"

Ada tensed slightly, but her face only showed that she was calm, a far cry from underneath, which was her now-panicking nerves. A smirk came across her face, as if on cue by some unknown force. It was so easy lying to everyone nowadays- emotions meant little to her most of the time. But with Wesker, and with Leon- those two were the only ones who actually made Ada feel something.

And now, standing here with Wesker, one of those feelings- fear, was starting to creep into her skin.

"I haven't a clue. I figured you'd enlighten me once I came." Her voice cooly replied to the tyrant, stepping forward a little more. Oh, she knew all right. It was either Leon or the Master Plaga sample, and either meant that this was not going to end well. At all.

Wesker watched her closely but she gave nothing away. He supposed that was one thing he'd almost admired about her, Ada's sheer professionalism. But that mask would soon slip, or rather, he'd be ripping it off.

"No idea? Really?" The skepticism just oozed from his voice. He flicked the light on and a harsh white glare suddenly flared up, aimed directly at her. "Then let us see if this rings any bells: Los Illuminados? Leon Kennedy? And a certain Master Plagas sample that you provided for me?"

He strode towards her, stopping a few feet before her and lowered his voice to a cold, sibilant hiss. "You must have realised you couldn't deceive me forever. That fake was impressive, oh yes, but fake nonetheless. Did you actually think you'd get away with it?"

Well, this was an unexpected turn- Wesker mentioned both Leon and the Master Plaga sample. She squinted as the light nearly blinded her, but regained her composure quickly. And that was knocked flat out once Wesker hissed those words at her, her mind scrambling to come up with an answer, and quick.

"Fake?" Ada feigned surprise, and then coyly looked back at Wesker, as if she suspected him of setting her up for something she clearly didn't do. "I don't have any idea what you're talking about. You know I always give my best effort into everything I do for you, Wesker, even when things don't always go as planned." Her eyes were staring back into his shades that he always wore, however, and underneath them, her mind was screaming for someone, anyone, to come and save her right about now.

Still she insisted on playing around. He shook his head slowly, his eyes glinting. Abruptly, Wesker caught hold of her right arm, his hand forming a vice-like grip, and he spun her round - almost as if dancing a sinister tango - and forced it up her back. Perhaps any other time, he'd have held off but Ada would pay with interest. He pushed it higher and higher, tightening his hold all the while, until there was a distinct crack.

"And I assume that this isn't how you planned things?" he said softly. She might have been able to see the merciless grin across his face. "Believe me, I'm just getting started."

It took her a few seconds to realize what Wesker had done, and once she heard the crack, she knew. She cried out at first, the pain immense, then she bit into her lower lip to stifle any other sound coming from her mouth. She knew Wesker wanted to hear her scream, he wanted to hear her cry, hear her beg for mercy, grovel at his feet, even.

She was breathing in hard, trying to keep herself from screaming in pain. She wouldn't give that to him, she wouldn't. Not ever.

But after seeing his red eyes light behind those glasses being accompanied by a malicious smile, the professionalism in her eyes withdrew, revealing her true emotion- fear. Wesker terrified her at this moment, he horrified her more than anything else ever had in her entire life.

"N-no. Not... quite." Her face paled as she heard Wesker claim he was only beginning. She was hoping her death would be quick with him- and now, she knew he'd never do that to someone like her. It would ruin the fun of everything. And Wesker always hated it when someone or something ruined his

His grin only widened at her pain. Oh yes, she knew to fear him and he was gratified to see it reflected so clearly in her eyes. For far too long now, everyone had underestimated him, had thought they could play him for a fool and avoid any sorts of repercussions. And this woman here had been doing it for years.

Wesker frowned down at her ever so slightly as she denied him that pleasure of hearing her scream and whimper. But never mind, he knew plenty of ways to coax it out of her. You'll be begging for mercy, he thought darkly, and aloud, he said, "What made you think you would get away with it?"

Releasing her arm, he instead walked round to stand in front of her and then clasped a hand round her throat. Wesker clenched and pulled back his other fist, watching Ada's face carefully. It almost reminded him of that moment with Chris, three years ago now... only Ada had no one to help her this time. "You know how precise I am. You must have been expecting this." He punctuated each word with a sharp, powerful jab to her ribs. Even if ( ... )

It felt like her ribs were being set on fire, with each jab being sent to them from Wesker's punches. Like a knife, really- only much more damaging and much more malicious in intent. Ada grunted and cried out with each one, wincing her eyes in extreme pain. She was strong, yes, she'd survived being thrown into a control panel by a Tyrant, for god's sakes, but Wesker was no ordinary Tyrant himself. He was, in fact, much worse ( ... )

One two three, four five six, Wesker continued to pummel the woman. He barely noticed her attempts to escape. Tsk, nobody ever released themselves when it got to this point... he was reminded of that time, three years ago now, with Chris. He'd gotten off lucky thanks to Jill but Ada had nobody to come to her rescue. Then again, that time he'd been planning on murder. But today he had something else in mind ( ... )

The pain was unlike anything she had ever felt before in her life. She couldn't breathe, it felt like her lungs were being shoved closed by Wesker's fists and then twisted into knots to keep her from taking in any amount of air.

Still, despite all of this, she wasn't dead. She'd been working for the man for eleven years, and she damn well knew how he acted when he wanted to kill someone. Quick and mercilessly. But she was still alive. Which, in turn, made her fear and realize the worst. Wesker was most likely using her for another plan he had in mind, and if he was planning something, it was never good.

She didn't even raise her arm this time as she was almost thrown into the chair, just squinting and wincing as she gasped for air. It was a minute or so before she could answer him.

"Nothing... nothing at all." She managed to say, fully knowing it was a lie. It'd only aggravate the tyrant, really- but she knew she had to do it. She had to. For her sake, as well as Leon's.

Whatever came next was going to hurt, and hurt like hell.

Wesker waited patiently for her reply. He was good at waiting, of course. Three years of biding his time while he developed Uroboros, eleven years since the mansion incident. All that waiting and hiding and in the end, nothing came of it. And now instead of that waiting, there was just frustration. Lucky Ada would be getting the brunt of it.

He was shaking his head sorrowfully even before she'd gotten all her words out. "Wrong answer, Ada, and I think you know it." This was pure idiocy on her part. It wasn't even as if she'd get any enjoyment out of this. Never mind, he'd enjoy it enough for the both of them.

His next punch would likely have taken off her head if he hadn't pulled it at the last moment. After all the effort of avoiding her death, hitting her too hard really would be a shame. That didn't stop Wesker doing it again, or again.

"Come on, it's a simple question," he cajoled. "If at all possible, I'd like to at least leave you recognisable for your star performance later."

That... ow. The world went spinning as Ada tried to regain her balance, nearly tipping over in the chair as the punches were delivered. She couldn't think- her brain was almost being smushed by a massive g-force with the sudden attacks, hard as they hit her.

It was a few minutes or so before she could speak again, sputtering as she felt blood form somewhere in the back of her mouth. She must've bitten her gum, something- being hit that hard made her ignore any other wounds she was given at the time.

"...I have- I have nothing to say." She knew that Wesker was using her now, and she wasn't stupid as to who it was for. Leon. He'd get the man riled up over her broken body, and then- who knew what would happen. Leon could possibly get killed. She couldn't let that happen. She wouldn't.
