With two kids and I survived! :-)
Of course I did what some may call as cheating--I put Gunnar in the CDC for the day. He loves going there and it gives me a break. Little Lincoln and I headed to the mini-mall for a much needed and deserved pedicure for me. Then it was back home for some tidying and laundry. The afternoon went fast and I had to go get Gunnar before I knew it. We took Lincoln to the doctor for a weight check and it has taken a month but he is finally back at his birth weight--8 pounds even! Yippee!
I have to admit, I really miss Chris. We had the best two weeks when he was on leave. He was the PERFECT husband and I don't say that lightly. He put up with my cranky, hormonal rages and was a big help with the kids and the housework. He took Gunnar to play at the park quite a bit and we managed to do a few things as a family and had a good time. The two weeks just flew by and I'd do anything to have them back. I guess that's life though.
I can't believe that the new one is a month old already. Talk about time flying. He's such a good baby--sleeps well at night and is never really cranky. I'm very lucky in that department.
So I have this cat dilema. I love the guy dearly, he's been with me since birth--6 years next weekend. It's just that I am HIGHLY allergic to him and each time I have a baby my allergies get worse. Plus, I am tired of the cat hair and litter and all of the other crap that goes along with being a bet owner. AND with our upcoming trip to the States, I have no one to keep him while we are gone. So I am looking for a new home for him. It's hard. I don't want him to think he's been abandoned in Korea but I have to do something. If nothing else, I'll take him on post to the vet clinic and put him up for adoption there. If anyone in Korea is reading this and wants a really cool cat, let me know, K?
So today Gunnar has school and I have to go teach in Jamsil. My dear friend is going to watch Lincoln for me. Typically, I'd really like this teaching gig, but I hate having to drive out there and leave the little guy. I could take him with me but he'd be a big distraction and these kids do not need any distractions. It's really just a pain in the ass. At least it will be over with in two weeks.
Tomorrow we are off to Osan to get Lincoln's immigration paperwork done. Tomorrow is his last "legal" day in the country so it's a must. It should be a fun trip, always something different to do and see down there. Plus it's a weekday so the traffic shouldn't be too horrible!
GOALS MET: 1 month of breastfeeding down. Next goal: 3 months of breastfeeding.
Oh and I finished a book. Why is this a big deal you ask? Because prior to Lincoln being born, I finished 24 books since the first of the year. It has taken me a month to finish the 25th bok. I don't think I'm making it to 50 this year. We'll see though!
