Hey all,
Most of you have probably already gotten the message via facebook, but a childhood friend of mine (and many others of course) was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. A bone marrow donor drive was done today to try and find a match. Several friends and I went down and swabbed our cheeks in hopes we may be a match. They're having another drive next weekend and I'll post information here when I find out about it. The drive seemed to be well-attended, both rooms were full of people who had come out to get tested. It's been pretty widely advertised in the DC area: WTOP radio station, WJLA channel 7 news, flyers in shops.
