Do we actually know he's a homophobe? I've read an article by someone obviously lesbian (I think) who was very offended by Card, but I don't remember details. That was the only proof I've ever seen of his intolerance, and all his books (in particular Treason) are so full of tolerance that I find it hard to believe it's really the truth.

well i don't think he's affraid of homosexuals per se, more that he doesn't like them.

and i know he supports/funds a lot of anti gay (marriage) things in particular.

so i don't know.
but that might also because he does it because of his church and might be against his personal beliefs, but i highly doubt it.

I wouldn't say that he doesn't like "them," so much as he is morally against homosexuality.

I really hope that the movie is not as disappointing as Troy seems to be. *crosses fingers* I really liked Ender's Game.

he's kinda like my parents :$

... oh i loved ender's game, arugably my favorite book...

but to be frank, i havne't actually seen troy... just heard bad things, so i don't know how good/bad this guy is.

but i have a real dread about this movie coming out.... i don't think it translates that well into a movie in the first place...

I haven't seen Troy, either. I never really wanted to.

I think that an Ender movie could either be terribly fantastic or fantastically terrible. It's one of those things where it is going to be beyond words awesome, or unspeakably crappy. I hope that it doesn't suck on film. It's a great concept and a great book.
