Oh such a perfect Day

Or actually such a perfect evening :) Me and Hanna had decided to go to Nosturi, to this "Metal Barbeque"-evening, where Finntroll was to perform. Well we got there at about seven, ordered something to drink and then we just sat in the sun enjoying life. Not long, and there were a few other people at our table too, and my gosh... What crazy conversations we had x)

Well we didn't check the other band that was performing that night, none of us had ever heard about them and they didn't sound at all interesting, so we just continued chatting and drinking. It was about 23:30 when they finally opened the doors to let us to the stage area. Usually at Nosturi, you go upstairs and there's the stage. But this time they had arranged a lot smaller stage downstairs and I was a bit amazed... Well anyways, Hanna and I decided to take as much from it as possible, so we headed for the first/second row. When Finntroll started to play, we could've literally touch them. Some stupid little girls actually did it, but... Yes, I think it's just strange. I was a bit sad that I didn't have my cam with me, cause oh boy what pictures you get when you shoot not even a meter away from the band... At the beginning of the gig they had some problems with the mixing, cause when they started, we couldn't hear any singing at all but when the problem was fixed, we just looked at each other and nodded: The new singer was not bad at all.

Katla. Katla. Katla. Katla. Already earlier, when we sat outside with our drinks, we saw all the guys from the band doing what everyone else was doing; chilling out, and when we saw Katla, we though how great it would be if he was going to sing a song that night. When they started playing Jaktens Tid, Jonne came to stage, and that is quite unusual nowadays, I think. Everyone just went crazy! In a very positive way, though ;) And as if that wasn't enough... A few songs later Katla appeared on the stage with his "Fuck you all"-attitude and made us go even wilder by performing Blodnatt, which seems to be his favorite or something; that's the one he sang at Tuska (04?) also, if I recall correctly. Okay so that was *** great. Katla is and probably always will be the best singer of Finntroll, the one and only. What was even more wonderful; he sang also Svartberg, my all time favorite from Finntroll. My dreams - concerning Finntroll;) - became true.

The new singer spoke only swedish. That was a bit funny, cause well not all finns understand swedish but... And Katla speaks Finnish on stage. But anyway, the new singer was rather good, better than Wilska at least, and I'm waiting to hear him on cd. Cause it's always different on a cd.
Oh and yes! After the gig we wanted to get outside asap, cause it was HOTHOTHOTHOT during the gig, and guess with whom we shared our cigarettes and a few words? With three big trolls, who politely asked if they could have some cigarettes.. And who dares to say no to a troll? ;)
