On a director kick at the moment.
First I finish with Lynch. Then it's on to a slice of Woody Allen; however, since he's so prolific, with such a distinctive style, I think it's best to take his films in small groups rather than all at once.
Next I take on a smidgen of Spike Lee, then come back to my beloved Almodovar and John Waters. After those three, I'm bound and determined to dive headlong into Hitchcock.
Future possibles include:
Frank Capra
John Carpenter
Wes Craven
Maya Deren
DW Griffith
Mary Harron
Todd Haynes
Derek Jarman
Jim Jarmusch
Alejandro Jodorowsky
Stanley Kubrick
George Lucas (might as well get it over with)
Alexander Payne
Sydney Pollack
Roberto Rossellini
John Singleton
Steven Spielberg (see Lucas addendum)
