Canadian Cinematic Excitement!
During another recent flare-up of my chronic Canada-itis, I discovered that Guy Maddin, Winnipeg auteur extraordinaire, has a new film!
Entitled The Brand Upon the Brain!, it has all the earmarks of classic Maddin fare - black/white cinematography, wide-eyed dames and conflicted gents, all set in an alternate world set some time in the no-so-distant past.
