Woken up by sirens...

One big difference between big city and little city life is the noise pollution. In Tracy, I could expect to be woken up by four different things: mom, alarm clock, barking dog, garbage truck. In the city, there are so many things can tear me away from dreamland, so I have to be choosy and what wakes me up. This morning, the thing that finally got me out of bed was about seven ambulances driving by my window in less than five minutes. They just wouldn't shut up. In a small town, an emergency vehicle wouldn't even have to use their siren because there would be no one on the road at 7 am. But here is a bit different, since San Francisco has this little thing called rush hour(s)...which is probably the reason the ambulance/fire truck/police car was called in the first place.

Conclusion: Silence is golden, sirens are noisy, and 7:00 am is too early for a college boy like me to be awake.
