OOC: Question the Pups!

May 16, 2008 13:53

((So thanks to a friend re-discovering the old 'Question The Pup' monthly datasheet, I've decided I'll give a crack at doing 'em for Sloth. YOU ARE VERY EXCITED. Feel free to do it along with me, or ask questions, if you so please!))

1. What does your character's name mean to him?
It's kind of cool having a last name that's one of the deadly sins, though it could be debated by others there are cooler sins besides Sloth. He'd insist he makes it cooler. He's not wild on what his real name is (read: Francis), but he's just fine with Frank. Doesn't care about it either way, otherwise. Although making sure you have his title in there is important. That's doctor to you, plebeian.

2. It's January second. Where is your character today and what is he doing?
Working on world-domination plans, or notes on science experiments. Also gloating that it's almost January 14th, which is, believe it or not, a national holiday dedicated to him on Neopia.

3. If your character could change one physical detail about himself, what would it be?
Nothing! He's convinced he's perfection just the way he is.

4. Describe your character's hairstyle in detail. Why did he choose it? How much does he care about it?
Ahahaha. Well, he didn't choose it, per se; it just is that way. And it's not hair either; it's three fleshy/cartilage tendrils that sit from the top of his head. They can droop, curl and twitch to broadcast his emotions. They have nerve endings and bloodflow, so tugging or chopping at them can be painful. Don't do it.

5. What is your character's favorite physical activity?
Working out, mainly in strengthening his upper body, which should be obvious given his massive chest and arms. Pull-ups, push-ups, etc. He's a little obsessive about staying in good shape.

6. When was the last time your character climbed a tree? Why and under what circumstances? If he has never climbed one, why not?
He never has. Because he's always had minions to do that kind of thing for him, because there was no need, and he's not a big fan of nature.

7. Your character comes face-to-face with his worst enemy. What is his first reaction?
Talk first, with typical banter and questioning, keeping calm as he starts formulating how to get the first hit in.

8. What is your character's least favorite physical activity?
Manual labor that could easily be done by a slave, minion or robot.

9. What is your character's favorite weather?
Space vacuum. If on a planet, clear, starry nights.

10. What is your character's favorite season?
Fall. Snow bothers him, and Summer and Spring are too sunny. But if given a choice, he would stay in the seasonless environment of deep space.

11. Your character keeps a photo album of memories from his lifetime. If he could only keep one photo, what would it depict?
Himself. Standing amongst the burning wreckage of his home planet. Laughing.

12. Does your character keep any pets?
Wellllll...Neopians don't really count, do they? Because they're not pets, they're employees. And they're sentient, so. (But hes not above thinking of them as playthings, of course.) So no, he has no pets. He's not a big fan of 'em outside of being cheap labor and lab rats.

13. A very large centipede runs across your character's leg. What does he do?
Make a face and then brush it off quicklike. He might examine it closer if it had some sort of scientific interest readily apparent.

14. What does your character eat for breakfast?
Depends on what he's in the mood for. Sometimes normal stuff, like scramble eggs and bacon, sometimes something a little more, uh, alien, like tasty fungus. He'll also sometimes opt for a protein shake if he's in a rush.

15. What is your character's least favorite weather?
Excessive sunlight, and snow. Both are horrid to him for different reasons.

16. What is your character's fondest childhood memory?
Sneaking out in the middle of the night to play in the rain with a girl named Jill who was kept in the same science facility as him. They were both 13. He will never admit to this being his fondest memory. Instead, he will tell you it was the time he stabbed a girl in the eye with a pencil when he was 8. He's not lying either; he is fond of that memory.

-If your character were in the habit of keeping a journal, what good memories could he go back and revisit through that journal? Would he do so often?
When he was told, and taught, that he was one of the greatest lifeforms, both physically and mentally, to ever be born, and would grow up to be a savior. Also, the destruction of his homeplanet.

17. What is your character's favorite piece of artwork?
Painted portrait(s) of himself. :B

-Describe any pieces of artwork found in your character's home or office.
Ones of him, ones of the space station, and medical charts that look artistic if you think hard enough about it.

18. What is your character's least favorite season?
Winter/Summer. Too much snow, too much sun. Too much weather.

19. Someone asks your character to describe his family. How does he answer?
That he has none; never did, never will.

20. Is your character a morning person, a night owl, or something else entirely?
It depends on where his mind's at. He doesn't sleep a lot; he's a chronic insomniac, but one of those overly-energetic guys who runs on little rest either way. He has no trouble getting up in the mornings, and can stay up until the wee hours if he's working on something that has his attention riveted.

21. What is your character's least favorite color?
Yellow. Also, pink and purple.

22. What does the color orange make your character think of? How does it make him feel?
Makes him think of orange rambuses (which is a space fruit), of various chemicals and minerals that are that color, of the Grundo civil war on Kreludor that he orchestrated and aggravated. It's kind of a sickly color, to him, and he'd never be caught dead wearing it. It clashes with his skin, you know.

23. Your character walks into his home and sees blood on the floor. What is his first reaction or thought?
Get a gun, carefully begin to inspect the area, ready to shoot at anything that moves.

-Why is there blood on the floor? Whose is it?
Maybe it's neospacefairy's, maybe it's someone looking for vengeance, maybe it's an escaped lab rat. Odds are also really good it has something to do with campjesus.

-What happens next?
He finds whatever it is that's bleeding on his floors and, assuming it doesn't attack, he starts questioning at gunpoint.

24. Describe the outside of your character's home.
Stars. Space. A distinct lack of oxygen.

25. Describe a typical birthday for your character.
Gloating in the fact that it's Sloth Appreciation Day, maybe check up on the computer he has tucked away somewhere that keeps an exact running tally of his age, deal with whatever dastardly business is needed to be dealt with, cause some random mayhem for helpless innocents, then look into finding some lady friends, getting drunk, and fucking.

26. What mythological figure best personifies your character?
I'm going to come back to this one later, I think.

27. What is your character's least favorite animal?

28. A law enforcement officer stops your character for a minor violation. How does he react?
If it's a hot police officer? Well, maybe they can be sweet-talked. If not, vaporize the dude; Sloth doesn't have time for this sort of thing.

29. What does the color red make your character think of? How does it make him feel?
His own eyes, blood, destruction, revenge. It's one of his favorite colors for how sinister it can be.

30. A stranger makes a crude comment to your character. How does he react?
a) Laugh. b) Make one back, nonchalantly. c) Smile and vaporize the naysayer.

31. What is your character's favorite animal?
Any of the ones he made.
