As is the usual way of him arriving from the Nexus, Dr. Sloth appears in his office with the flash and 'whoomp' of a PINpoint. Except this time, he's accompanied by a young girl. One wearing...pink slippers

"I built it myself; of course it's nice." Further noting of one's surroundings would reveal the place to be all black and sleek, polished and metal surfaces. Even his desk follows this sinister motif.
There's some reaching into a drawer, and Sloth eventually extracts a piece of paper, creased from being folded into eerily precise quarters. Looks like he hung onto one of Hannah's flyers.
"...Hannah McCracken, was it? All right, I suppose we should get those questions of yours out of the way first. Make 'em snappy, because that potential sample is probably decaying as we speak."
"Scientific pursuits, of course. Breaking down and figuring out what it is that makes supernatural things like demons, vampires and whathaveyou has always been a subject of interest. I've been having some vampire-related issues lately as well, so any further research to combat it and understand it can't hurt now, can it?"
"Who said anything about fighting it? Keeping it under control, maybe. How to quell any potential uprisings, or how to get the better of a particular vampire who's got it out for you. Other than that, knowing how they tick is far more valuable then stakes and garlic. Trust me on that."
He's thoughtfully refolding the flyer now as he considers a price tag. "Depends on how good the sample is, I suppose. What's your preferred payment? American dollars? I've got the proper exchange rate for Neopoints figured out in just about any denomination, so make your pick on the currency first."
"...Sure." He's eying her suspiciously now. He's no fool, sir!
"...If you're reconsidering this transaction, or plotting something against me, I will be...disappointed." That's a loaded word right there. "Weren't you all up in arms about being a hard-assed mercenary type? Lesson you need to learn young; if you're loyalty's going to have a price tag and is going to be worth anything, you're going to have to work for some unscrupulous characters. Moral compasses only get in the way of this line of work."
Yes, Sloth's sensing the second thoughts and 'oh no bad guy' jitters.
"What about the second part of the question?" He's not worried, per se. She's a, what? 13 year old girl? Somewhere around there, from the looks of it, though he's terrible sometimes at guessing human ages. But she's young. And tiny. He's certain he could snap her in two with his bare hands, nevermind his superior firepower.
The fact that she kills vampires for a living, and seems to do so successfully, is overlooked somehow. Maybe Sloth's still suspending belief.
"Steep price." Though he doesn't really blink at it. "Do you think I'll indeed find it to be that useful?"
"Mm. Knock it down to seven thousand. Further payments will be made if the sample proves useful and salvageable." He's tapping a few keys on the computer at his desk, perhaps having something to do with this monetary transaction going on.
Fine, ignoring the morals will go for now. He's said his piece on the matter.

"Something up?" If she heard something she'd consider suspicious, he'd like to know what's going down as well.
