We did it. Renton was found guilty on a list of charges so long that he'll be in prison for the rest of forever. My statements and Dad's statements made a huge difference. People listened to me. I stood in front of a room full of strangers and I told them the darkest things about me and I was looked upon with compassion instead of hatred. They ( Read more... )

Peter woke up this afternoon as well. Though he still seems to be speaking in third person.

Julian, I'm so damn proud of you. And I couldn't be happier that this went exactly the way it should have gone.

Hey, Peter can speak in any person he wants to speak in! How are you feeling?

Thanks, Peter. I couldn't be happier either right now. Damon's birthday was the 28th but we were all so !!! so we're celebrating tonight!

I'm getting there.

Tell Damon happy birthday from me and I hope you all have a wonderful time. You deserve it.

Thank goodness it's all finally over. The Renton debacle, and the Bush one. These are good endings, and good beginnings. It feels like tomorrow, we will wake to a saner world. It's still going to take as much work as it was going to yesterday, of course. But now, it seems a little more within reach.

Exactly. I don't think the work is ever over, but when you can see the reason we keep it up...that's wonderful. The streets are a little safer and now that Renton's going down in flames with no hope for appeal, he's starting to squeal on all his little minons as well since they only helped in his downfall. Apparently I'm very convincing when I give testimony even though I can barely stand. Funny, that.

Not the barely standing part! Anyway, I'm better now.

Well, that's what happens to empires of dust. All you need do is blow hard enough, and they all crumble away.

I think that metaphor is probably a little dodgy...

In the meantime, it's very good indeed to hear that you're doing better. There's nothing that can keep a Littleton down for long.

Hahahhaa blow hard! No, I like the metaphor!

I suppose there isn't!

Dad cried at the hearing. It was so cute. And then I cried when we got to bring Aislinn home and them Mum cried because everyone else was crying and Damon watched us like this O_O. It's been an emotional time...

Best. Election. Ever.

And I am so glad Renton is going exactly where he belongs. Certainly not a moment too soon. It's so good to see vindication for you, Julian.

It was riveting! We were all watching this little map thingy and the news and I managed to dump my spaghetti in my lap when Obama won because I was cheering!

I like seeing justice. I liked being seen as human. It meant...after everything that's been happening lately, it meant so much for people to just not care that I was gay. It's not everything about me and they saw that.

Well, I'm sure someone enjoyed the opportunity to get you cleaned up... *grins*

Human is what we all are. If a group of randomly selected people can get together and see that, and feel for someone who has been wronged, feel enough to do something about it, then there's definitely hope.

Or he will when we get back from desserts! I've been so distracted and then you know...abducted... I'm going to enjoy the opportunity too.

Yeah, hear hear! Today is a fucking good day.
