What's love got to do with it?

Okay. I'm finally going to admit it.

I have creative writer's block and it is sucking my soul out my nose. My fingers itch and I feel entirely unproductive. I have tried diving into my other art forms to rekindle some inspiration. I've gone to the needles and crocheted no less than 4 scarves. I spent a day by the lake with my sketchbook drawing fish and flowers. I went up the north shore and dabbled in photography. I sat on a bench in the park with my journal and jotted down a few poems that I don't entirely hate.

But when it comes to my idea for NaNoWriMo and the novel I've really been wanting to write for years at this point I am stuck. Cement stuck. I know that I should probably just continue my research into mythology, but it's so depressing when I do and I still can't make any adjustments to my outline and it doesn't motivate my characters and I'm about ready to trash the whole thing.

I really don't want to do that though because I am so in love with the concept. So, I'm asking... what do you do when you're a writer who can't freaking write?

writing, halp!
