Interest Drabble Challenge 017/150

It seems y'all would like me to continue. I suppose you won't mind me doubling up, then?

Homeboy, I say.

C.S. Lewis is my homeboy.

We go way back. The Chronicles of Narnia was the first series I read, but I knew of it long before. Forget Disney classics, the cartoon version of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe was my favorite childhood film.

I blew through the series, and I became a reading addict. In fact, while reading A Horse and his Boy, I decided I wanted to be a writer. Quite honestly, I seriously doubt that I’ll ever be able to hold so much as a strike-anywhere match to the man, but I’ll sure as hell try.

And since I'm getting back to my roots...

Curd Conessieur

I’m from Wisconsin. I like cheese.

I once went to a cheese curd factory for a family trip once. No joke. My mom’s high-school friend’s family owned it. I walked through the entire process from cow to curd. They were the best curds I’ve tasted.

Few people properly appreciate cheese curds. Good curds squeak when you chew them. They should stretch like mozzarella sticks when they’re fried and pulled apart. Also, breading is an art. Using any form of batter is entirely unacceptable.

The bottom line: I’m very particular about my cheese curds, and I know what I’m talking about.

Wowza. These have gotten personal, lately.
