once again, spent some of the new year hugging the porcelain throne... ugh.
I really need to stop doing that!

Side note:
Previous "guaranteed" job didn't work out at Image Movers Digital (the guys that did beowulf n shit). My friend wants to quit and get a different job well bad and well, he was gonna be my ride cuz I can't afford a car yet.
So I went back to my boss at Hitachi and asked if I could take the extension of my contract with them (they offered me before but I turned them down...). He was like pretty much as close to "hell fucking yes" as a very polite Japanese gentleman can be. He is even upping my $$$. But it's only for another 3 months. Which means I need to start REALLY aggressively looking for a game programming gig. Oh, and he gave me the time off I wanted (I WILL BE ARRIVING JAN 17th AT 4:00PM!)
Unfortunately, on NYE day. Motherfucking MindFuse (bunch of my friends work there... I applied with them back in uh, november or such. I gave the ceo there my resume because my friend was bugging him/me to talk (he really wants me to work there too, and he's a cool d00d.) Fucker got back to me 2 days after I told Hitachi I'd extend my contract with them (FUCKS!)

We opened a new programmer position at MindFuse games and I wanted to see if you were interested in applying for the position. This is a production programmer position but should lead into the senior engineer position rather quickly. If you are interested please let me know and we will sit down and talk with the studio manager and see what we can do about getting you in here.

Ugh. Total bummer. That job would have been really rough but it would have been awesome. Maybe. If that company doesn't go tits up in the near future. (they're pumping out a casualMMO... on very little experience amongst the whole team).
Now I just need to tell ImageMovers that uhm, I can't work for them as planned... ugh. Not looking forward to that.
In summation: shit got fucked with work after jan, took an extension with hitachi, got a raise.
