Ah.. I missed my dumb-dumb blog. I've been posting more over at our serious-post-only blog, which I share with my dad. After typing up my latest about US sanctions policies and the investment behavior of companies who do business in Iran (lol), I got bored. I need more dumb-dumb topics to write about (because outside the office that's how I am. During regular business hours, I act smart-smart...but it's hard.)
Tomorrow I leave for ATL to go see Paris and Leslie! It'll be interesting to see a bunch of nu-metal connoisseirs at the music festival we're planning to go see. If I'm not mistaken, I haven't been back at this particular venue since the 1994 Lollapalooza. Yikes.
A week later I leave for Japan. Speaking of which, I've been asked to buy a bottle of Mr. Bubbles for my nephew (they don't have bubble baths in Japan lol) and a few disposable bathroom cups (3oz version), which is also missing from retail outlets in Japan (very strange). It's always interesting to get my sister's pov about what would be considered useful American goods and services in Japan (e.g. small paper cups and Mr. Bubble for example.)
My nephew recently successfully completed his national kanji certification. I'm a very proud uncle. As promised, my parents awarded him with a brand new Wii console, which means there will be a major Wii smackdown taking place at my grandmothers joint. In preparation for that , I've been working out more at the gym.
I'm looking forward to my stay with my grandma. I used to go there every summer and sometimes in the fall (for salmon catchng...there's a nice little stream behind my grandma's house, which is used by salmons to lay their eggs). Surrounded by mountains and nothing but nature, the village is pure bliss for nature-seekers. There's a hot-spring nearby. You can count on me being there everyday.
