How would you like to see a Gypsy Curse work?
Detailed ideas would be much appreciated, if you have something in mind.
Also, if anyone wants me to send them the Races and Cultures, or wants to give feedback and can't get to them, please also leave a note here with your email addy.
Thanks!

The only issue with that is how can it be cured then? Can a Rid Weakness get it? If so, that seems too 'easy' to get rid of in a higher level game. If not, why not? Rid weakness cures a weakness effect, why can't it get rid of -this- one? Need to find a gypsy? Crap, only ones in game are friends of the curser.
I have to say I've never been a fan of GC in practice. It forces someone into a specific roleplay that most likely would be way against what is fun for the player. No one should be forced to act a specific way in character that is uncomfortable. Think the same about love potions/enslavements. Fear effects and charm type effects are obvious and short-term, GC could be a permanent thing depending on what cures it.
Maybe a debuff [whatever] effect within game mechanics, but can only be cured by two [whatever] cures being simultaneously touchcast. That way you have to find 2 people to help cure you, but you dont have to track down a friendly gypsy. Maybe even packet delivered at that point, so it could have combat applications.

I have never seen this used in Madrigal, but it's a game with no nobility (no major PC leadership) and almost no PvP action as far as I can tell. It may not work for this other new game - especially if it's closer to NERO.
I like your take on it as well. :) Good ideas.
