(no subject)
ahh, its so nice to go into a non-pink livejournal...
kk, just a quick update cuz im pretty busy...
my mom came back from the states on tuesday, where she had been for three weeks (of course, her and my dad pulled into the yishuv in the morning just as my tremp was leaving the yishuv), and when i got home, she told my to close my eyes and come into the living room,and there was this big lumpy package on a chair with a coat covering it, and i pulled off the coat, and under it was my very own brand new SEWING MACHINE!!! ahhhhhh!!! its sooo prettyfull! its not too big, and white, and it has like 60 different stitches and and and...im not going to bore you all and get very descriptive, but its sooo much nicer than my old piece of crap machine that didnt work very well...
so thatwas really cool. and i also got books (his dark materials and two cartooning books) and chocolate. :)
so the rest of the week was pretty much normal, accept for shabbat- this shabbat i went to try out as a counselor for shevet haroeh in sniff ateret.
now, first off all, befor shabbat i was kinda nervous- allright, really nervous. i mean, i didnt know ANYONE, and i was going alone...and im not one of those people who makes friends with everyone in 2 seconds...but in the end, thank g-d, it was great!
the yishuv is really small, only 80-90 familys, so everyone knows everyone, and whenever theres a guest, everyone knows- so just about the entire yishuv knew that someone named aviva was coming to check out their sniff, and they were all really friendly!!!! (the comonarit and i were playing jewish geography last night and we figured out who we both know- dee...lol. her name is daryah, and she lives in rechovot and she did sherut leumi last year in chadera...small world!). anyhooz, now i have a few days to decide if i want to be a madricha there or not, so i kinda have to look at all the pros and cons: cons: ateret is in the middle of palestinian territory(aka nowhere). pros: being a madricha will make me feel like im really doing something good with my time!!!! what should i do?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
i hate making decisions. so much.
well, thats all for now...i want to sleep!!!!!!!!
