Holy fuck. Shanghai is the most insane city I have ever been to... A vast sea of concrete, cars, and buildings... The taxi drivers have no respect for any driving laws... You can barely walk down the street without ramming into a thousand people... My mandarin classes have not even come close to preparing me to talk or understand anyone, given that they speak another frickin' local dialect - Shanghainese...
Although my first introduction to the city was hitting 470km/hour on a maglev train from the airport... Jesus that was fast.
