Moving troubles
Well, in case you hadn't heard. I'm moving. At least, that's the plan. It's a short hop from this apartment (#4) to #13, but there seems to be a bit of a kink in the plan. For those who have told me they'd help out and to let them know when I'm able to move in...well, I'll get back to you on that as soon as it happens.
Technically I'm supposed to be moved out by the 28th of this month at noon (that's this Thursday). That isn't happening, since that seems to also be the deadline everyone else got too. The problem is that I'm maybe 3rd or 4th in a chain of moves (largely contained all within Squire Village apartments). I decided to talk to the people in #13 to find out their estimated departure date. They're hoping to be out by Wednesday or Thursday. I've also been told by the staff that it should take 1 to 2 days for them to do the official cleaning after the current residents have left. What that means is there is absolutely no way I can actually be out when I'm technically supposed to be out. I don't think the staff mind too much, but I do want to move as quickly as possible, since I know someone is supposed to move into this place after me.
The good news is that I have extra time to pack, and possibly a weekend to move out on (which means less taking time off of work and more of a possibility to get others to help out). Also I should have a good amount of time to finish up getting things cleaned (since I don't want to leave behind the disaster doplegnger did when he moved out).
The downside is that I'll be very rushed when the time to move actually comes around and technically I'll be staying longer than I should in my current apartment, but there isn't much I can do about that.
