Heya,
posting from King St Newtown.. Mrs Dan and I have been down here in Sydney a week from tomorrow. We're stying in Enmore which is near Newtown, which I guess, is no more than about five minutes work from anything and just a 15minute busride from the city centre, harbour etc. So it's all pretty sweet.
Internet connections are few and far between, relying mostly on free wireless at this stage. We're here until for another two weeks almost before heading back to the home. Currently I'm pilfering free wireless from a fairly mainstream unmentionable coffee chain..no not starbucks!! I've since discovered there's free wireless in a really lovely cafe just near where we're staying, but it's shut today so..it's here I'm staying until either the battery runs out on my laptop or they kick me out for exceeding my free 40minutes..which was over an hour ago.
So Newtown is fab..very busy..not your terribly sanitised gentrified inner city area, lots of good coffee, bars and places to grab a cheap dinner. It's a bit seedy..gritty...noisey etc, so I'm very much at home.
I'll be posting pics on my Facebook over the time we're here..and if I can get the chance will do so here. My battery warning has just sounded..so I have 11 minutes to upload one more pic and make my way home on the bus. We've got a dinner date in Redferm tonight..am looking forward.
