No complaints...

The game's development is gradually getting back on track, now that the summer is ending, and at the moment I have nothing to complain about. Very soon I'll have a new version of the game ready to show my (so-called) playtesters. Right now I just have to finalize the mission ending conditions for Mission 13.

At the moment, the game is looking quite polished. There are no major bugs and everything seems to be working pretty much as it should. I've even gone back and done some much-needed code revisions, such as reducing the number of global variables, to reduce memory useage.

Here's a list of what sort of changes will be in the next version:

-You can choose from 3 different difficulty settings when starting the game
-Cursor keys can now be used to control the Hero
-Factories can be damaged by shooting them from any angle (not just the doorway)
-Factories disappear completely when destroyed
-Drones can build both kinds of factories
-You can type in the number of a mission to play, instead of clicking on numbered buttons
-Buildings can be damaged, and even completely destroyed (except schools and hospitals - still working on those); I still need to make more debris graphics
-Many objects, such as cars, gas pumps, etc, are now solid
-Soldier AI has been mostly re-written. Soldiers will now attack and destroy factories, and dodge bullets
-New introductory material, including a short new "mission"
-Some new graphics (e.g. for the Resistance van and headquarters)
-You can now play through to Mission 13
-There are now different colours of cars
-Spawns can now eat through cars and buildings
-The cursor changes to show which weapons you have available, and their status
-The screen fades out at the end of each level
-Added the report room to the base, where you can read reports on the various enemies
-Added "cheat" mode (press F11 to get all weapons and invulnerability)
-Added an extra "preview mission"
