Firemen
Firemen are one of the new things I added to the game recently. Similar looking to the construction workers, these are simply guys that run around and put out fires. This is especially helpful in the "base building" type missions because extinguishing fires helps the buildings to survive longer.
Speaking of buildings, the construction workers can now build Shield Generators as well. As long as the Shield Generator is active, it maintains a shield around all of the turrets that are in the area, which greatly prolongs their life.
