had my last perinatalogist appointment today!  cervix remains unchanged since the eighth of april.  whoo-hoo!  but, i'm still on modified bedrest until i hit 36 weeks.  part of me thinks this is a load of bollocks, and that my first measurement of 41 mm was inaccurate.  if i (and i guess bernie has some say as well) ever decide to become pregtastic again, i'm going to request that all cervical ultrasounds be done vaginally for accuracy.  there's no way i'm going through this shite again.

after gaining permission (insert immediate rankle that i, a 31 year old woman, needs permission) to run an errand, i was off to babies r us.  i've now decided that i hate that store, alone with most others in the colma area.  what's the point of printing aisle numbers on a registry if it's not going to be accurate?  or having people in the customer service area who don't speak english?  not exaggerating -- it went something like this: "hi, i'd like to return a few things."  "huh?"  "oh, is this not where i can return things?" (looking up a giant sign that says, customer service/returns).  "i sorry mum, return only here."  "ok, so i can return things here?"  "no, only if you buy today."  "what?"  "i sorry mum, hold on."  i was rather confused by this whole interaction -- especially after she just disappeared.  luckily, another sales person took pity on me and i was able to return my stuff.  i tried to be efficient with my time, but was foiled by the nonsensical layout of the place.  then i went to target and breathed a sigh of relief.  until the oblivious asshat almost ran over me in the parking lot.  rear-view mirrors are there for a reason.  perhaps i'm safer inside.

off to nap.
