Rumours are going around that Sony is planning to announce yet another new model of the PSP soon (wow, 3000 wasn't even all that long ago) - this time with a drastic change: abandoning the usage of UMD altogether. Apparently the next PSP will use internal storage, and new games can be bought via a PSN-like service.
My thoughts?
WTF!? I JUST FRIGGIN' BOUGHT A PSP ONLY A FEW MONTHS AGO. ARGH. WHAT THE HELL SONY. DAMN YOU!
But this is all rumours at the moment, so. :P
I'm a bit curious as how they're going to distribute games however, if this IS true. Yeah, PSN already has a bunch of old PS1 games available for purchase and download - from the gist of it, these are going to completely new PSP games. You can't really compare that to a service which is offering older games which already exist or smaller games like how the Xbox Live Arcade does.
Also, this last part is really unlikely - but I seriously hope that there wouldn't be any download-only games. I've always preferred having a physical copy of anything, rather than just some data which can be wiped with the press of a button (intentionally or accidentally).
I know said that I was going to post about the Agito trailer here a while ago, but having watched it a few times already I can't come up with anything other than "oh that looks cool", random speculations and other boring crap. So F to that.
Also, watching other people playing games has sapped my resolve of playing them myself. Must stop watching streams. (But I know I'll just go and watch them in the end anyways.)
Boring post. Maybe I'll find something to rant about later on and go with that. I should make a post on the backloggery group blog, but I'm drawing a blank. I should probably delete that Dennou Coil draft I have on there too; I've found that I can't properly convey my thoughts about that anime because my english writing sux like shit.
