So I'm finally starting to watch a bit of anime again. First one up is Bartender. I don't even remember how I found out about it, since it seems to be an obscure series. Anyways, it's an anime about alcohol. What can be better? I'm not much of a drinker, but I've been dragged to a few random bars by friends before. It's really too bad there's no bars like Eden Hall that I know of in the nearby area, I'd definitely prefer a quiet place like that over the overly loud and boisterous places that seem to be everywhere in downtown Vancouver. >_>
The way everything is presented works quite well too. It's more like a theatre play, in how the characters often speak directly to the audience like a soliloquy. Though to be honest, no amount of creative presentation is going to stop how cheesy "the wine of your soul" sounds out loud...
And oh damn, I logged in on Gaia after a long break from it (pretty boring now and the general community is horrible, as well as Backloggery sucking up most of my internet time) and looking at the roleplaying section - it's even worse than when I last browsed that place. It seems like the whole thing about formatting posts to make them pretty has only grown. Also, there seems to be a sore lack of a middle point in terms of roleplaying level. There's either advanced literate or the "not literate at all" to choose from. What the hell happened to the regular semi-lit./lit. topics? I thrived on those because I pretty never had the time to make a post which would meet adv. lit. levels, despite my writing being at that level. Well, that was over two years ago, I haven't roleplayed since and my writing sucks beyond all hell now, lol.
Also, I'm listening to the sound dramas on the official JPN site for Shining Force Feather and goddamnit I didn't think pako's and Noizi Ito's art would mix well until now. I still prefer pako's art though. Fangirls who love shipping Jin with the other guy characters already are probably going to kill me, but I find Jin x Alfin to be somewhat cute - mainly because of the
4th sound drama. cliched main hero x heroine pairing GO
