Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Egypt stuff keeps boring me! The show perked up a bit when our gang showed up, but then Bakura turned back time and it all went to hell.
Naruto: It takes forever for anything to happen on this show!
Fullmetal Alchemist: Poor Ed and Al. Every time they think they don't have any innocence left to lose they're proven wrong. Ed does look a lot like Wrath while wearing the brown wig. Roy, of course Ed isn't going to be thankful or trust you further when he finds out you've been keeping things from him. Duh, man. Kimbley is such fun evil, and I loved his comment about Roy's "pretty" face.
Samurai Champloo: The art taking a nosedive at some points in the episode really startled me. Fuu blew up at them out of nowhere, told them to leave her alone, then has the nerve to talk about them abandoning her? Felt like plot-ons at work. Poor Jin in that scene wonders, along with the audience, what the hell had just happened. Damn, this episode dragged, though the rapping rumormongers made me smirk. After the incredible art and cheerful insanity of last week's "Bogus Booty," this episode looks even worse.
The Boondocks: Funny and uncomfortable. Nice metaphor for the Iraq war and the "hunt" for Osama bin Laden going on there. "You can't judge a robbery while it's in progress!" "They're shooting at us!" The presentation of Tom's fear of anal rape killed. "Your father wants you to know he's nobody's bitch."
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Gig 2: Last week was apparently a fluke, because this week's episode bored me just like the rest of the series has. The spider 'bots are cute, though.
s-CRY-ed: Is anybody else watching this show? I'd love to talk about parts of it. And was this the very last episode? I am so confused! After I told 'nat last week that for Ryuho and Kazuma the brawling is the sex, she asked if this week's episode would be a PWP. It certainly was. Take a lot of the dialogue out of context, and you already have porn. Yeah, Kazuma, push it harder. Kanami: "They have to see who's stronger." Me, to 'nat: "Yeah, they have to figure out who will top." Then the fight gets televised, showing what the Lost Ground's idea of public porn is?
I wonder how much of Kazuma's insanity comes from having an Alter power that rips his body apart and puts it back together. I also wonder how Kanami can be such an innocent when she's mindlinked to a hotheaded berserker.
The men appear to be envious of the boys' power, while the women are horrified by the senseless brutality. *g*
'nat: "I'm glad the Mainland didn't decide to attack while these two whaled on each other."
Then... they disappear and it's years later before they return? Then it's the end of the series? What? Did the Mainland give up? I'm so confused.
