V Explains Tale of the Body Thief to Karra
karra: You know, I didn't understand what the hell was going on in Tale of the Body Thief at all.
Viridian5: It sucked.
Viridian5: Lestat does something he knows is stupid and takes a huge chance.
Viridian5: Finds out when he gets what he wants--mortality--that he doesn't actually like it.
Viridian5: Rapes a woman, gets a cold, falls in love with a nun.
Viridian5: Begs Louis to vampirize him even though Louis is the last person to ask for that, gets pissed when Louis refuses, burns down Louis' home for spite.
Viridian5: David, who's a besotted idiot, helps him out. Lestat gets his own body back, David's dies but he conveniently gets transferred to a younger, more virile body.
Viridian5: Lestat decides to vamp David despite David's protests out of "love" for him.
Viridian5: Since Lestat is a Marty Stu, David later claims that he wanted to be a vampire (despite all his protests at the time) but didn't want the responsibility of making the choice.
karra: Gack.
Viridian5: Louis begs for Lestat's forgiveness because Lestat is a Marty Stu. Lestat is pissy with him but grudgingly forgives him.
